Interview with NASCAR’s David Reutimann

A recently announced alliance between Tommy Baldwin Racing & Stewart-Haas Racing has secured a 26-race ride for Reutimann – one which he’ll be sharing with Sprint Cup rookie Danica Patrick. The goal of the deal was to lock Patrick into a qualifying position for the first 5 races of 2012.

Tommy Baldwin Racing’s David Blaney had accumulated the owner’s points Stewart-Haas was searching for in order to put them in the top 35 (33rd) where those 5 starts are secured.

Ford sweeps Rolex 24 at Daytona

Leading up to the day-long race at Daytona International Speedway, the new Corvette Daytona Prototype was all the buzz. The model, unveiled in November, put Chevy back in the Rolex for the first time in 11 years. It was praised for its good looks, but in the two-times-around-the-clock at Florida, beauty fell short.

In the end, it was the beast that was Ford who took home the Rolex watch on Sunday – as well as the 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

2013 Ford puts the “stock” back in Stock Car Racing

For years, the differences between Tony Stewart’s Chevy Impala, Denny Hamlin’s Toyota Camry, and Carl Edward’s Ford Fusion have been undistinguishable to the untrained eye.

Patrick opts out of Indy 500

Schedule conflicts. That tragic moment when you look at your calendar and realize two very enticing events land on the same day. NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Danica Patrick had a moment like this when she flipped her calendar to May 27, 2012: Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Indy 500 versus Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Coke 600.
